I’m trying to figure out if a change in company ownership would change our merchant level. We are a level 2 merchant however we were recently purchased by a level 4 merchant. We have separate boards and are still functioning as separate companies, names remain the same and all. Do we need to combine our transaction counts to determine our new merchant level or would we each remain the same and do our assessments as usual? If we needed to combine, depending on transaction count, we’d be a level 1 or 2 - but then it’d also change to one assessment instead of two as well, correct?
