I’m curious about serial connections. We’re thinking of installing a computer (which has a wifi access point attached to it) to our cash register which is in-scope of PCI compliance. Does this serial connection mean that the computer (and connected wifi) are now in-scope of PCI? We’re really hoping not but I’ve heard that it might be. Any advice or guidance is very much appreciated. Thanks much. Pico.
